Software Engineer Based in California.

As a software engineer, I work across the entire stack — designing data models, writing performant backend services, building modern web frontends, and operating the cloud infrastructure that runs it all. I currently serve as Chief Technology Officer at Skywest, where I lead engineering, AI development, and production operations across an ad-tech and analytics platform.

My work spans a wide range of problems: architecting ETL pipelines that consolidate data from advertising platforms, affiliate networks, and internal systems; designing and training machine learning models for lead scoring, conversion attribution, and audience segmentation; and building AI agents that automate complex operational workflows. I write production code in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP, deploying on AWS using ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.

What I do as a software engineer

• Architect and ship scalable web applications end-to-end (backend, frontend, database, infrastructure)
• Design and implement ETL data pipelines and analytics infrastructure
• Build and integrate AI agents, LLM-powered features, and ML models into production systems
• Lead engineering teams, drive technical hiring, and own the technical roadmap
• Operate production AWS environments — ECS, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, monitoring
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clean, maintainable, well-tested software

How I work

I favor pragmatic engineering: simple architectures, clear data contracts, and tight feedback loops. I'm equally comfortable as a hands-on individual contributor and as a technical leader setting direction for a team. I care about correctness, performance, and developer experience — and I believe great software comes from engineers who genuinely understand both the system and the user.
